Experience about Teaching English to Young Learners

Hallo all my friends...!

Nice to meet you again...!

Long time no see...!

I hope you all of you are well...!

In my first blog, I want to tell my experience teaching English to young learners. Before that I want to tell a little about "Teaching English to Young Learners".

TEYL s a course for all teachers of primary age students. It aims to provide teachers with the knowledge and skills needed to support young learners through the delivery of engaging and motivating lessons.is a way to introduce English as a foreign language to young students.

Well, I've taught English to Young Young Learner when I joined organizations on my campus and went to kindergarten and for now I am opening tutoring for elementary school children at my house, although it is still a few months.

Why do I teach them? Because I love children and because I am majoring in teacher training, I think this is a good opportunity for my experience in teaching. Based on my experience, teaching is not easy especially I also don't have teaching experience, but I have to keep trying and learn to be better. So that the knowledge and knowledge that I give them can be useful for the future.

In my place, there are elementary school students who don't teach English from grade 1 to 4 and will get it in grade five, but I teach with material that I have made and combined with their lessons. In my opinion, teaching young learners is a little difficult because we teach children who have different characters and behaviors. So, we have to adapt to them. Sometimes there are students who talk a lot and can't sit still, to overcome this I make class rules such as (memorizing the names of animals, fruits, limbs, days, months, etc).

Because they are not very familiar with English so I teach basic English things such as: names of fruits, animals, vegetables, days, months, colors, body parts, objects that are home, food and drink, numbers (plus and minus), name of family member, profession and a few sentence questions, etc).

As for other things that I teach such as:

1. Memorize

2. Speaking

3. Read (text)

4. Listen

5. Writing (dictation)

6. Game in English

What I get from the teaching process is that you have to be patient and understand the character of each child, provide entertainment or games so that students don't get bored with lessons.
